Nature by Design: Die menschliche Schöpfung
In dieser monochromen Werkreihe verschmilzt die Präsenz des Augenblicks mit der Darstellung des massiven menschlichen Eingriffs in die biologische Ordnung. Die floralen Formen, in gebrochenem Weiß ausgeführt, sind keine Abbilder der Natur, sondern deren Neu-Konstruktion: Die menschliche Schöpfung erhebt sich hier über das organisch Gewachsene. Es sind Hybride, die wie nach einer gentechnischen Wunschliste entworfen wurden.
Das monochrome Weiß schafft eine Manifestation der Stille, die an die Sterilität eines Labors erinnert. In diesem Zeitkontinuum wird die Pflanze zum manipulierten Entwurf. Der Betrachter begegnet einer Ästhetik der künstlichen Perfektion, die erst auf den zweiten Blick die ethische Tragweite dieses menschlichen Übergriffs auf die Schöpfung offenbart.
Nature by Design: The Human Creation
In this monochrome series, the presence of the moment merges with a depiction of massive human intervention in the biological order. The floral forms, executed in off-white, are not reflections of nature but its reconstruction: the human creation here rises above the organically grown. These are hybrids designed according to a genetic engineering "wish list."
The monochromatic white creates a manifestation of silence reminiscent of the sterility of a laboratory. Within this continuum of time, the plant becomes a manipulated blueprint. The viewer encounters an aesthetic of artificial perfection that, only upon second glance, reveals the ethical implications of this human encroachment on creation.

Frühe Hybride und Scherenschnitte
Diese ältere Werkgruppe markiert den Ursprung der Auseinandersetzung mit der Natur als manipulierbarem Entwurf. Während die farbigen Hybride durch eine spielerische Lebendigkeit und das tastende Entwerfen neuer Lebensformen bestechen, verschärft sich der Fokus in den Scherenschnitten. Der Prozess des Ausschneidens wird hier zum Symbol für den harten, menschlichen Eingriff. Diese Arbeiten bilden das konzeptionelle Fundament: Ein frühes Zeitkontinuum, das von der Freude an hybrider Vielfalt bis hin zur grafischen Reduktion führt und den Weg für die spätere klinische Strenge der „Manipulated Plants“ ebnete.
Early Hybrids and Paper Cuts
This earlier body of work marks the origin of the exploration of nature as a manipulatable design. While the colorful hybrids captivate through their playful vibrancy and the exploratory design of new life forms, the focus sharpens within the paper cuts. Here, the process of cutting becomes a symbol for harsh human intervention. These works form the conceptual foundation: an early continuum of time that leads from the joy of hybrid diversity to graphic reduction, paving the way for the later clinical austerity of the "Manipulated Plants" series.
